You've been one of my favorite writers since I began reading sf as a preteen and teenager in the 1970s; GATEWAY was an instant favorite when I read it serialized in Galaxy (I still have the issues), and I've read "The Tunnel Under the World" so many times I could almost recite it from memory. And those are only two examples of many. You also helped inspire me to write my own stories, now and then; a few have even been published.
