Vincent Bugliosi, oh dear, oh dear....

Well, he does have a good case against Bush Cheney BUT,

This is a man who believes that lonely old kid Oswald could pull off four shots that expert markesmen (unlike Oswald) could pull off and go against the laws of physics, with a head that snaps violently backwards, when the shot was supposed to come from behind!.....and this from a man who made a ringing, valiant case for RFK being murdered via conspiracy.

He ignores (and in a macro way, the corporate media controlled by CIA 'Operation Mockingbird' + Fox) all the subsquent information that has dribbled away in the public domian, including:

Madeline Brown, LBJ's mistress, confession to his intimate knowledge of the plot.
Billy Sol Estes, LBJ's business partner, who confessed to at LEAST 9 murders, the last one being JFK's. Goggle "Estes Documents"
E. Howard Hunt, CIA case officer who gave a deathbed testimony that certain disenchanted factions from the Bay of Pigs debacle were intent on revenge and engineered by LBJ and his Texas oil billionaires into setting up the assassination.
Jack Ruby's statements to the fact that, had LBJ not been VP, "our beloved" leader would still be alive.

Andrew Jackson ran against the banks (the Federal Reserve') of his time so that the Governement would print the money for the nation and not incur the costs of interest that would cripple them. He had an assassin, hired by the banks, shoot at point blank range, the guns jammed.
1932: FDR had a cabal of business elites conspire and try to get General Smedley Butler do a Veterans Army protest and take over the Governemnt. He went along with it and then, having gained enough evidence, blew the whistle. See "The Whitehouse Coup" in you tube.
1948: The clueless Harry Truman authorises the the creation of the CIA but allows it to have no accountability to its leaders, a way for leaders to have 'plausible denyability about covert operations. Most of these CIA operative are recruited from the higher bastions of private business.

Guys, just read the dazzling "JFK and the Unspeakable"...

There is a similar work, albeit fictional, by Nicolas Kent. He wrote the play "Called To Account. The Indictment Of Anthony Charles Lynton Blair For The Crime Of Aggression Against Iraq - A Hearing," which quite cleverly spins an alternate history in which Blair and Co did not get away with lying to a country to get policy they wanted enacted pushed through.

There is also a radio drama versrion of the play, which aired on the BBC, which is quite good.

The question remains though: WHY aren't these guys held to account? Are they, to paraphrase the excuse to bail out banks, "too big to fail?"

I was heartened to read that "22 million" White House emails that had believed lost were retrieved.

Even if we don't actually see Rumsfeld, Cheney, Addision, etc. see jail time, it would be wonderful to have on record things like:

* Acknowledgement that were no WMDs, and plans to hornswoggle the public anyway.
* Confirmation that Cheney was determined to topple Saddam from day one, told oil company executives about his plans, and wet himself with joy on 9/11 because he knew he had his excuse.

Anything like this, even if it wasn't legally actionable, would destroy the moral standing of these bastards, so no one would take them seriously when they pontificated of Fox News, etc.

Every President has blood on his hands. You open that door, it\'s not going to be so easy to close it. As attractive as the idea is of seeing that sumbitch Bush in the dock, the next ting you\'d see would be some grandstanding prosecutor indicting Clinton over Bosnia or Somalia. Then Bush the First over the First Gulf War. And as soon as Obama leaves office, someone\'ll indict him for something. And on and on.
